Fire door inspections are required at least every six months, at a minimum.

However, for high-traffic areas or doors that are used more regularly, inspections may be required more frequently.

Our certified fire door inspections follow a comprehensive, industry-approved checklist in line with BM TRADA and UK fire safety standards. 

We assess every critical component of your fire doors to ensure they are safe, functional, and compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Here’s what our inspection covers:

• Door leaf (checking for damage, wear and tear, and warping)

• Door frame (inspecting for alignment issues, damage, or excessive gaps)

• Intumescent and smoke seals (checking intumescent seals are intact)

• Hinges and hardware (inspecting all hinges for correct type (fire-rated)

• Fire door signage (checking that appropriate mandatory signage)

• Gaps and clearances (measuring gaps around door and Confirm clearances meet required tolerances)

Following each inspection, you’ll receive a detailed written report outlining the condition of each door, along with photographs and compliance notes. 

Any faults or non-compliant elements will be clearly highlighted with recommended next steps, whether that’s repair, upgrade, or replacement.
